Preface

Adrift by loneliness, a mermaid rises from the depths.

At the surface she sings of anguish and sorrow.

With every teardrop the water absorbs her pain into restless swells.

She cannot bear to see her emotions personified in frothing waters and crashing waves,

and so, she dives down, back into the deep.
